When we were raising our three children, playing board games was always a fun family activity. Candyland was one of our children’s first games. They learned the most basic skills of counting steps, recognizing colors, drawing cards, and taking turns. But soon they grew out of it. Beyond Candyland, we found, there were not many competitive games for the age group of 5, 6, and 7. Popular games, like Monopoly and Risk were still too difficult for them. That experience sowed the seed of making a board game for this particular age group. Years later, Puppy Trek was born.
